One of our customers had a really good idea.
She was going to her daughter's wedding in 2011, and was looking for something to wear on her wrist.
She wanted to combine pearls and a rose. She was matching her wrist wear to a set of vintage pearls, and knew she was going to struggle to find something which would alos be able to take her flower. Like a lot of other ladies, she didn't want her silk dress spoiled by pinning a flower to it!
She chose one of our three strand pearl bangle/bracelets, and took it ot her florist. The florist came up with a method of attaching a beautiful, fresh white rose to it, which matched the pearls beautifully. She was delighted with her highly indivudal piece of jewellery, created specially for her daughter's big day.
The end result was spectacular.
As always, we sold the lady the bracelet, with a condition attached, 'if the florist couldn't find a way of attaching the flower, and the pearls didn't match her vintage set, then, she could return the bangle/bracelet, for a full refund.

Greypuss Jewellery Saves the Day! (view source) It's an awful feeling when you look down at your hand and your favourite ring is GONE!!
This happened to me last December when I was on a night out with my horse riding buddies. Ah, you may say, too many large sherries?? Bit careless were we?? NO! It was all very civilised, honestly.
I can only put it down to the fact I ocassionally suffer from good old womenly water retention, really, some mornings I couldn't get my ring on and other days I would have to wear it on a 'thicker' finger. I must have been going up and down like a balloon that night and it just slipped off somewhere along the line!
I phoned all the hot spots we'd been in, begging them to look for my ring, even reported it to the police, but, alas, nothing!
I trawled the internet trying to find one the same with no success, but I did find a wonderful Scottish jewellery shop GREYPUSS JEWELLERY with very similar treasures. I emailed the lovely lady at the helm, Laura Balloch, who couldn't have been more helpful!! She spent a lot of her precious time trying to found a supplier with a ring the same and, HEY PRESTO, she did it!!!
My new sterling silver and rainbow opal ring arrived today and is absolutely stunning. Beautiful craftsmanship, and it's actually more comfortable than the lost one as it's slighly tapered at the back.
I am so delighted and I just know I'm going to end up with a few more goodies from Laura's shop... ARTISANNE |
